One of the plants that have antioxidant activity is cempedak, because cempedak contains flavonoids compounds. This writing aims to determine the antioxidant activity of cempedak plants based on a review of several literatures. The method of writing a literature review uses a journal search from Google Scholar. Based on the literature review that has been carried out, the leaves and bark of cempedak have antioxidant activity. Based on the literature review of antioxidant activity of cempedak, methanol extract of stem bark had antioxidant activity of 100,26 ppm, leaf methanol extract 8,88 ppm, leaf ethanol extract 52,7706 ppm, leaf ethyl acetate fraction 4,282 ppm. The part of the cempedak plant that has the highest antioxidant activity is found in the leaves with the ethyl acetate fraction which shows an IC<sub>50</sub> value of 4,282 ppm. One of the therapies used for ischemic stroke is antiplatelet. Single antiplatelet therapy is generally preferred over combination antiplatelet therapy, because combination therapy results in increased bleeding, which outweighs any benefits. Various studies on the effectiveness of antiplatelet between the combination of aspirin and clopidogrel with aspirin in ischemic stroke patients have been carried out. However, until now there is no consensus that the outcome is better between single aspirin therapy with the aspirin-clopidogrel combination. The aim of this study was to compare the effectiveness of the combination aspirin-clopidogrel and aspirin in ischemic stroke. The method used in this study is a literature review using Google Scholar, PubMed, and Science Direct databases. Secondary metabolite content of ethanol extract of Starfruit leaves (<em>Averrhoa bilimbi</em> Linn) can inhibit the growth of acne bacteria. The purpose of this study was to determine the best concentration in the manufacture of anti-acne gel formulations of ethanol extract of Starfruit leaves (<em>Averrhoa bilimbi</em> Linn) using HPMC base. Extract concentrations were made of 5%, 7.5%, and 10%. After antibacterial tests, the extract concentration used was 7.5% with a inhibition zone of 11.17 mm <em>P.acnes</em> bacteria and 11.30 mm <em>S.aureus</em> bacteria. Anti-acne gel ethanol extract of starfruit leaves (<em>Averrhoa bilimbi</em> Linn) made 3 replication formulas with extract levels FR1 (7.5%), FR2 (7.5%) and FR3 (7.5%). The results showed that the color of the dark green preparation, distinctive smell, thick, no syneresis, ph 4.7-6.2, scatter power 4.6-5.2 cm, clinginess 6-22 seconds and viscosity of 11-20 Pa.s. Antibacterial activity tests on <em>P.acnes</em> showed a inhibition zone of 10.1-10.73 mm and <em>S.aureus</em> showed a inhibition zone of 10.35-10.93 mm. Penggugut can be found in habitats like lowland forest, sandy forests and mangroves. The efficacy and activity of penggugut especially the leaves, have not been widely known or studied. So that make the purpose was to know about the percentage yield of extract and fraction from penggugut leaves and to know the activity of Radical Scavenging DPPH from penggugut leaves. The methods used include extraction, liquid-liquid fractination and TLC by spraying DPPH. The results there are percentage of yield : methanol extract is 8,04%, n-hexane fraction is 28,9%, ethyl acetate fraction is 7,83% and n-butanol fraction is 9,8%. The purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of the fermentation time of the Red Dragon Fruit peel extract on the pH value and lactic acid bacteria. The method includes the process of extracting samples and pasteurizing the juice and then proceeding with fermentation with variations of 3, 4, 5, and 6 days at 37ºC. In addition, the extract was prepared into a test solution with graded dilutions for further testing of totaled LAB using the Total Plate Count (TPC) method. The best pH value is showing in the 5-day fermentation time, which is 3.82 and the best LAB value is showing in the 6-day fermentation time, which is 18 x . The main objective of this study was to determine the antioxidant activity and obtain the best gel formula from the lime leaves ethanolic extracts.&nbsp; Five different concentrations of&nbsp; Citrus aurantifolia leaves extract namely FI, FII, FIII, FIV, and FV were tested for its antioxidant activity using the DPPH method. Furthermore,&nbsp; the lime leaves extract gel were formulated using carbopol 940. The gels were then evaluated for various parameters including organoleptic,&nbsp; homogeneity, pH, spreadability and viscosity to select best formulation. The extraction process was conducted using maceration method. The results of the DPPH radical scavenging activity showed that lime leaves extract with concentration 60,84 ppm has the preeminent IC<sub>50</sub> value.&nbsp; The preparation of lime leaf ethanol extract gel obtained was clear white, clear green, green, brownish green, dark green, homogeneous, and had a characteristic smell of lime leaf. The purpose of this study was to find out the chitin content and chitin characteristics of asian shell waste <em>(Corbicula fluminea)</em>. The stage of chitin insulation includes the process of deproteination using Sodium Hydroxide 3.5%, and the next process is the process of demineralization using Hydrochloric Acid 1 N. Antioxidant compounds are one of the chemical compounds that can be used and utilized to inhibit the oxidation process as a result of the presence of free radicals, so that the incidence of degenerative diseases can be suppressed. In this study, the active extraction and fractionation process from <em>Macaranga magna</em> Turrill leaves which have antioxidant activity and can be developed as a compound inhibiting the oxidation process of free radicals using the chromatographic method, as well as testing the antioxidant activity using the free radical inhibition method <em>1,1-diphenyl-2- picrylhydrazyl </em>(DPPH). This study attempted to isolate and also characterize endophytic fungi from Robusta coffee leaves (<em>Coffea canephora</em>). Cloth masks circulating in the community have not guaranteed quality. This study aims to find out the effectiveness of fabric mask materials based on microbial filtration capabilities as well as find out the optimal characteristics of the initial use of cloth mask materials and after washing 50 times. This study was conducted experimentally where the effectiveness of fabric mask material by spraying bacterial suspension, and testing the characteristics of fabric mask materials by conducting fiber observation, light intensity test, steam filtration test, water absorption test and water capillary on the fabric. The results of research on the effectiveness of fabric mask materials showed Asymp.Sig &gt;0.05 so that there are significant differences from all types of fabric mask materials. Based on the results of characteristic testing, the fiber material of the initial cloth mask looks better than after 50 washes. Test the light intensity of the outer layer, inner layer, and filter layers p, f and s after washing there is an increase compared to the initial use. Steam filtration tests of outer layers, inner layers and filter layers p, f and s when the initial user takes time for steam to penetrate the fabric compared to 50 washes. The absorption test of the outer layer during initial use does not occur absorption above 60 seconds and after 50 washes begins absorption. The inner layer and filter layer at the initial use do not absorb above 60 seconds and after 50 washes there is absorption under 60 seconds. The p filter layer does not absorb during initial use and after 50 washes. Filter layer f during initial use and after 50 washes there is absorption under 60 seconds. Capillary test results for 60 seconds the outer layer and the p filter layer during initial use do not absorb while 50 times the washing occurs absorption. The inner layer, filter layer f and s increase after 50 washes. The conclusion of the study was that the effectiveness of the mask material was good enough for the inner and outer layers, the p filter layer was more effective than the f and s filter layers. Alcohol-based gels have the disadvantage of being difficult to mix with gel-based ingredients. Carbopol as an alcohol-soluble gel base was chosen to be the base for this alcohol-based antiseptic gel. The concentrations used were 0.5%, 0.75%, 1%, 1.25%, 1.5%, 1.75%, and 2%. The physical test of the gel was carried out to see the optimum carbopol gel base for alcohol-based antiseptic gel. Physical test includes organoleptic observation, pH value, viscosity determination spreadability test and homogeneity test. The results obtained from organoleptic observation showed that the gel was clear, smelled antiseptic, two concentrations had a slightly sticky and sticky consistency. The pH value yields a pH range of 4.65 - 6.06. The viscosity results showed a viscosity range of 10.48725 - 21.18107 Pa.S. The Spreadability test shows the spreadability range of 6.07 - 7.03 cm. The homogeneity test resulted in an alcohol-based antiseptic gel without coarse particles. Hedonic organoleptic test produced the most preferred antiseptic gel was the antiseptic gel with a carbopol concentration of 1.25%. The right administration of drugs is a major concern when administrating drugs to dyspepsia patients to achieve the goal of drugs therapy itself. The aim of this study was to determine the characteristics of patients, the description of drug therapy and accuracy of medication use at Samarinda Medika Citra Hospital in January - August 2021. This study uses a non-experimental research design, data retrieval is done retrospectively and the analytical method is descriptive. The research instruments using 70 patient medical record data inclusions. The result revealed that the most characteristic data of dyspeptic patients was female by 55,71% (39 people), adult age group 26-45 years old by 42,86% (30 people), senior high school by 52,86% (37 people), other profession by 84,28% (59 people), patient with comorbidity by 71,43% (50 people). The most frequently prescribed anti-ulcer drugs for dyspepsia patients is combination of H2RA, Antiemetic and Cytoprotective approximately by 42,85% (30 people). The result showed that the right drugs by 100% (193 drugs), the right indications by 100% (193 drugs), and the right dosage by 96,37% (186 drugs).</p> Novia Syafitri, Adam M. Oil-in-water type cream has a high water content so that it can provide a hydration effect that can increase the penetration of the active substance. Triethanolamine in topical preparations is used as an emulsifier and alkalizing agent to form a homogeneous and stable cream. The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of triethanolamine on an oil-in-water cream base based on stearic acid and cetyl alcohol. Making the base is done by making preparations using four concentrations of triethanolamine 0.5% (F1), 1% (F2), 1.5% (F3), and 2% (F4). The cream base was then evaluated for its physical properties including organoleptic, homogeneity, pH, viscosity, spreadability, adhesion, and phase separation test. The results showed that in the organoleptic test cream bases were white, had a characteristic aroma with a semisolid form. The cream base has a homogeneity dispersion with an average pH between 6.53-7.29, viscosity between 3.5792396-3.8001904 (Pa.s), spreadability between 5.43-5.78 cm, and adhesion between 4.47-6.25 seconds. This study aims to determine the characteristics of the respondents including gender, age, education, occupation, physical activity, and regular exercise, to determine the blood pressure profile of the respondents, and to determine the effect of giving a combination of starfruit juice and chayote in the Samarinda Ulu District. The method used is a quasi-experimental method by measuring pre and post treatment for 5 days. Data collected on the characteristics of respondents obtained the highest percentage of women 95%, ages 18-30 years 95%, high school education 95%, college student job 95%, low physical activity 95%, and not doing regular exercise 70% . The respondent's blood pressure profile for 14 days every 3 days shows the Mean Artery Pressure value in the normal and high normal categories. The results of the combination of starfruit juice and chayote can maintain blood pressure, with a mean decrease in systolic and diastolic 12.2 ± 7.97 mmHg and 6.5 ± 3.60 mmHg for the treatment group. This study aims to determine whether the extract of mekai leaf has antimicrobial activity as well as activity as an antibacterial or antifungal. The method that was applied this study is extraction with a maceration using 96% ethanol, followed by phytochemical analysis. The agar diffusion technique was used to test the antibacterial activity by measuring the diameter of the inhibition zone at of various extract concentrations. According to the findings, mekai leaves contain secondary metabolites such as flavonoids, alkaloids, steroids, saponins, and phenolics. In the antimicrobial test results, the ethanolic extract of mekai leaf showed activity than <em>M</em><em>.furfur</em> has a 11,52 ± 7,97 mm, <em>A.niger</em> has a of 10,66 ± 1,36 mm and <em>C</em><em>.albicans</em> has a 6,31 ± 7,04 mm. Ethanolic extracts of mekai leaf show activity than <em>E.coli</em> 1,59 ± 3,16 mm, <em>P.acnes</em> 2,45 ± 4,55 mm<em>, S.thypii</em> 1,69 ± 3,07 mm, and <em>V</em><em>.cholerae</em> 1,94 ± 4,21 mm. This study aims to determine the content of secondary metabolites and antioxidant activity of the methanol extract of pule bark by determining the IC50 value of the extract. The secondary metabolite test was carried out by reacting the extract with phenolic test reagents, steroids, terpenoids, saponins, flavonoids and alkaloids. The antioxidant activity test was carried out using the DPPH method (2,2-Diphenyl-1-Picrylhydrazil). Antioxidant activity was measured by the ability of the methanol extract of Pule bark to reduce DPPH which was measured using a UV-Vis Spectrophotometer so that absorbance data was obtained and then processed by linear regression method. The results showed that the extract contained phenolic and flavonoid compounds. This study is a descriptive type of research with data collection carried out retrospectively, there are 88 medical records of pediatric patients with a diagnosis of Pneumonia, Common Cold, Allergic Rhinitis and Asthma At Majene Hospital in the period January to December 2020. Male (55.68%) and female (44.31%) and found 26 off-label drug prescriptions, off-label drug use classified as off-label age 19, off-label indication use 5 and the use of off-label route of administration 2. The most widely prescribed type of off-label drug is Chlorpheniramine Maleate. According to the literature, the use of off-label drugs is based on a sound scientific basis with low risk. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of steeping papaya leaves (<em>Carica papaya</em> L.) combined with honey on the intensity of menstrual pain in women. In this test, 2 groups were used, namely the positive test and control using the Quasi Experimental research method by looking at the potential of herbal preparations on the NRS (<em>Numerical Rating Scale</em>) scale sheet given before and after treatment. The most common worm disease that attacks livestock is <em>Paramphistomum sp.</em> The treatment of this disease uses nutritious plants, which is one of the alternatives chosen to minimize side effects due to the administration of synthetic drugs. Kadamba leaf was chosen in this study because one of the medical plants that have potential compounds as anthelmintics. The aim of this research is to know the anthelmintic activity of kadamba leaf extract to <em>Paramphistomum sp.</em> 210 samples of <em>Paramphistomum sp.</em> were taken from cow rumen at Tanah Merah slaughterhouses. This study was conducted in vitro with seven experimental groups consisting of one positive control (Albendazole), one negative control (NaCl), and five groups of kadamba leaf extract with concentrations of 2,5%, 5%, 7,5%, 10 %, 12,5% with three replications. This study aimed to determine the antioxidant activity of instant powder drinks. This research method was carried out by filtering extract, test the characteristics and antioxidant activity of extracts, formulation and evaluation of instant powder drink used the foam mat drying method, and test the antioxidant activity of the preparations used the 1,1-Diphenyl-2picryl Hydrazyl (DPPH) method. The results showed that the extract of Suruhan Leaf contained alkaloids, flavonoids, terpenoids, saponins, and polyphenols. The extract has a very strong IC<sub>50</sub> of 8.8 ppm. The research used the 20% concentration of extract to be formulated as the instant powder drink. The results of the evaluation of physical properties showed that the formulation has green color, in powder form, odorless, pH 5,84, humidity 6,84%, ash content 0,49%, flow rate 3,98 g/s, angle of repose 25,22?, compressibility 26,07%, and dissolving time 68 seconds. Only some of the physical properties of powder have met the requirements of a good powder. One of them is oil palm leaf (<em>Elaeis guineenis</em> Jacq.) containing terpenoid compounds, steroids, alkaloids, flavonoids, glycosides, tannins and saponins and also this plant among the community has benefits that can be used for the treatment of skin infections. Purpose of this study was to determine the&nbsp; yield obtained as well as the antioxidant activity of ethanol extract of oil palm leaves. Oil palm leaves were extracted using 96% ethanol as solvents and using the maceration method. Testing the antioxidant activity of the ethanol extract of oil palm leaves was carried out using the DPPH method (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl), where the absorbance was measured at max 515 nm using a UV-vis spectrophotometer. The results showed that the yield of oil palm leaf ethanol extract obtained as much as 5.44 % and obtained that the ethanolic extract of oil palm leaves had antioxidant activity against DPPH radicals with an IC<sub>50 </sub>value of 133.58 ppm. Self-medication is one of the many efforts made by the community in overcoming minor illnesses. One of the factors that can influence self-medication behavior is knowledge about self-medication. This study was conducted to determine the level of knowledge and behavior of self-medication in students at Mulawarman University. This type of research is an observational research qualitatively and quantitatively using an online questionnaire. Respondents obtained as many as 929 respondents. The results of the research on the characteristics of respondents obtained the highest percentage of age 21 years (36.7%), class of 2017 (46.8%), and female gender (77.5%). The results showed that 43.4% of respondents had good self-medication knowledge and 60% of respondents had good self-medication behavior. The results of statistical tests using the Spearman Rank method show that there is a significant relationship between the level of knowledge and self-medication behavior. This study aims to see the effect of using the COVID-19 vaccine on people in East Sebatik. The research design used was a prospective non-experimental method with data collection techniques, namely purposive sampling. The subjects of this study were 100 people who were vaccinated against COVID-19 stage 1 and stage 2 in East Sebatik, especially those carried out by the East Sebatik Health Center. The result of this research is that the majority of respondents based on gender characteristics are women as many as 68 respondents (68%). The majority of respondents based on age characteristics are in the adult age group (26-45 years) as many as 54 respondents (54%). The majority of respondents based on the characteristics of the history of the disease were non-complicated as many as 67 respondents (67%). COVID-19 vaccine is currently restricted to age ? 18 years. Yakon leaves and tea leaves contain phenolic compounds which have ?-glucosidase inhibiting activity. The aims of this study was to determine the inhibitory activity of the ?-glucosidase enzyme from tea leaf and yakon leaf extracts and the combination of the two plants. Extraction of the active compounds contained in tea leaves and yakon leaves was carried out by graded maceration method using <em>n</em>-hexane, ethyl acetate, 96% ethanol and water as solvents (using the decoction method). Phytochemical analysis of 96% ethanol extract of tea leaves and yakon leaves contained alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, saponins, triterpenoids/steroids and phenols. The results of testing the inhibitory activity of the -glucosidase enzyme showed that the IC<sub>50</sub> values ??for 96% ethanol extract of tea leaves and yakon leaves were 22.31 and 19.70 ppm, respectively. The use of antimalarial medicine in hospitals has adjusted to a pattern of successful therapy in previous years. The study aims to know the pattern of antimalarial use in malarial patients at the jayapura hospital installation in January - December 2020. The method of research used is a non-experimental study with a descriptive design from the retrospective data that sources the data of the treatment records of malaria patients. Studies show that the age of 17-25 became the most common age to develop malaria by 38 patients (38%). The male group became dominant compared with the female population of 60 (60%). Students are the primary target of malaria with 38 patients (38%). Tropical malaria is the most common of 62 patients (62%). Combination of primaquine + artesunate therapy reaches (66%). The potential of gelinggang leaves as a medicinal plant is expected due to the presence of secondary metabolite compounds that have activities, one of which can inhibit the growth of fungi and bacteria. This study aims to determine the antibacterial activity of gelinggang leaf extract against <em>Staphylococcus aureus</em> and <em>Escherichia coli</em> bacteria. The study began with extraction process of gelinggang leaves, phytochemical screening tests and testing of antibacterial activity from gelinggang leaf extracts carried out by the agar diffusion method using a well. Gelinggang leaf samples were macerated with 96% ethanol solvent and then tested for antibacterial activity in concentrations of 5%, 10%, and 15%. The results of the phytochemical screening test indicated that the gelinggang leaf extract was positive for flavonoids, saponins, phenolics, and terpenoids. This study aims to determine the characteristics, description of the respondent's blood pressure before and after being given aromatherapy, and the effect of giving pandanus and lemon aromatherapy on the blood pressure of hypertension respondents who live in the Sempaja Timur Village. The research method used is a quasi-experimental method with a one group pretest and posttest design with a total of 20 respondents. The research procedure uses initial and final measurements. The results showed that the characteristics of the highest hypertension respondents were female as many as 15 respondents( 75%), 10 respondents aged 60 years (50%), work as a housewife as many as 13 respondents (65%), and the antihypertensive drug consumed was amlodipine as much as 20 respondents ( 100%). The results of this study found that there was an effect of giving aromatherapy pandanus and lemon on systolic blood pressure before being given aromatherapy with an average of 162.6 mmHg and after being given aromatherapy an average of 156.4 mmHg while diastolic blood pressure before giving aromatherapy was on average by 99.6 mmHg and after being given aromatherapy an average of 94.4 mmHg. Extraction of anthocyanins from red dragon fruit peel using maceration method with solvent distilled water, distilled water: acetic acid 10% (1:6), and distilled water: citric acid 10% (1:6) and testing was carried out in the form of anthocyanin stability tests at pH 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and temperatures 0°C, 10°C, 20°C, 30°C, 40°C, 50°C. Optimization was carried out for 7 days by looking at the physical properties of the gel preparation, namely organoleptic, homogeneity, pH test, viscosity, and spreadability test. Handsanitizer gel was made in three formulas with three different concentrations of Carbopol 940, namely A, B, and C. The results obtained in the evaluation of the organoleptic test were observed in clear color, semisolid dosage form and smelled of Carbopol 940. This study aims to determine the toxicity of NADES-based extract from kadamba leaves by looking at the LD<sub>50</sub> value and its effect on body weight and behavior of mice. The 15 mice used were divided into 5 groups with 3 mice in each group. The NADES-based extract from kadamba leaves was given orally with various doses of 4000 mg/KgBB, 8000 mg/KgBB, 16000 mg/KgBB, and 32000 mg/KgBB and one group was given a solvent. Each group was observed for 30, 60, 120, 180, and 240 minutes after administration of the extract and the observations were continued for 14 days to observe toxic symptoms, changes in body weight and death. Based on the results of the study, no deaths were found in the solvent group, 4000 mg/KgBB, and 8000 mg/KgBB. This study is a non-experimental observational study with retrospective data collection on medical record data of patients who meet the inclusion criteria with the aim of knowing patient characteristics, knowing the description of drug use and knowing the incidence of DRPs in CHF patients at Hospital "X" Balikpapan. The results obtained from 106 patients, male patients were taller than female by 68 patients (64.15%), the highest age was in the late elderly category (56-65 years) as many as 40 patients (37.73%), the highest comorbid namely HHD 31 patients (29.24%), VES 16 patients (15.10%), renal insufficiency 13 patients (12.26%) and hypokalemia 13 patients (12.26%). The description of drug use in CHF patients included aspirin in 77 patients (72.64%), furosemide 62 patients (58.49%) and bisoprolol 49 patients (46.22%). Cloth masks in use need to be washed repeatedly, so it is necessary to know the effect of washing on the effectiveness and maximum duration of use. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the use of cloth masks after going through a repeated washing process by looking at their characteristics and filtration ability in filtering bacteria. The experimental research method was carried out by making 3 types of cloth masks from different masks raw materials, cloth masks were washed 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50 times. Then it is characterized by looking at water absorption, steam filtration, translucency, and ability to filter Streptococcus aureus bacteria. The results showed that the average absorption capacity of the mask in the 10th wash was &gt;60 seconds, while in the 50th washing it was &lt;60 seconds. The results of the steam filtration test are only 4.5% of the masks that have changed characteristics. The results of the translucency test in the 10th wash were 7.4 ±1.67 lux while in the 50th washing the average was 11.4 ±1, 94 lux. The results of the bacterial mask filtering test in the 10th washing were 5.3±5.57 colonies, while in the 50th washing the average was 1.9±2.2 colonies. Based on the characteristic test and bacterial filtering test, there was no significant change in the three types of cloth masks in each wash so that the three types of cloth masks were still effective until the 50th washing. This study aimed to determine patient characteristics, quantity, and quality of antibiotic use in digestive surgery patients at Abdul Wahab Sjahranie Hospital Samarinda from January-December 2020. This study is a retrospective observational study with data collection techniques using the purposive sampling method. The results obtained 75 medical records, with the majority of the adults (26-45 years old) were 35 patients (48%), men were 45 patients (60%), length of stay 4-5 days were 30 patients (40%), private workers were 23 patients (30.7%), and type of disease appendicitis were 27 patients (36%). The most used antibiotic is ceftriaxone, which is 64.41 DDD/100 patient days, and antibiotics included in segment 90% were ceftriaxone and metronidazole. Observational research had been use for this study with retrospective data collection based on patient medical records in January-December 2020. The results showed that breast cancer patients were women with age range of 46-55 years with percentage 38.1% and 33.33% had Body Mass Index (BMI) Obesity I. Combination of Antibiotics and Taxanes is the most widely used by 71.45% and has the most common risk classification of moderate nausea and vomiting. The purpose of this study was to determine the effective mouthwash formulation used as an antimicrobial. Antimicrobial testing method using well diffusion method with a reserve of 6 mm. Black betel leaf extract was dissolved with a variation of the concentration of glycerin 1:4; 1:8 and 1:12 and tested on <em>Streptococcus mutans</em> and <em>Candida albicans</em> bacteria, then tested for stability of the preparations, including organoleptic, pH and viscosity. The results obtained from various solvents were glycerin as the most stable solvent compared to 96% ethanol, tween 80 and aquades. The results obtained from the antimicrobial test with ANOVA analysis were for <em>Streptococcus mutans</em> bacteria p=0.004 (p&lt;0.05) which means the p-value was significant between concentration variations and bacteria and for the fungus <em>Candida albicans</em> p=0.295 (p&gt;0.05) which meant the p-value was not significant difference between concentration variations and fungi. Purpose of this study was to determine the secondary metabolites and antioxidant activity of the ethanolic extract of kelulut bee propolis from Kutai Kartanegara. Propolis was extracted by maceration method using 96% ethanol solvent and evaporated and then carried out phytochemical screening and antioxidant activity test using the DPPH method (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazil), ethanol extract of propolis was made in concentrations of 25 ppm, 50 ppm, 100 ppm, 500 ppm, 1000 ppm. The yield value of the propolis ethanol extract was 36% and the phytochemical test showed the presence of flavonoid, alkaloid and phenolic compounds and the IC50 value of the propolis extract was 282.92 ppm. The purpose of this research is to the Red Dragon Fruit peel extract that has been fermented using lactic acid bacteria has the potential to inhibit the growth of <em>Propionibacterium acne</em> bacteria. The method includes the process of extracting samples and pasteurizing the juice and then proceeding with the fermentation process with variations in time of 3 days, 7 days, 12 days, and 14 days at 37?C. Antibacterial testing was carried out using the good method. The results showed that there was an effect of fermentation time on a low pH value of 3.98. As well as antibacterial testing can inhibit the growth of <em>propionibacterium acne</em> bacteria with the largest inhibition zone shown in the 7th day fermented extract at a concentration of 50% at 22.72 mm, a concentration of 75% is 22.99 mm, and a concentration of 100% is 25.97 mm.</p> Cindy Puspita Perdana, M. The innovation of topical pharmacy preparations with the active ingredient of cananga essential oil is a useful. The purpose of this study was to formulate cananga essential oil with concentrations used of 1%, 2% and 4%. The results showed that formulas I, II and III had met the physical quality evaluation. The results of the organoleptic test of the three formulations were in the form of a liquid, a characteristic odor of cananga flower along with eucalyptus oleum and a light yellow color. The results of the pH stability test obtained an average of 4.2 formulations, 4.9 formulations II and 5 formulations III. The homogeneity test results from formulations I, II and III obtained homogeneous results. The results of the anti-irritation test of formulations I, II and III did not cause irritation. The overall results of the preference test showed that the panelists preferred the liniment preparation at a concentration of 4%. Obstruction occurs due to increased fat lining the blood vessels or atherosclerosis. Atherosclerosis will cause cerebral thrombosis and cerebral embolism. This study aims to examine effectiveness of the use of drugs in ischemic stroke patients hospitalization at Nunukan Hospital. This study is a non-experimental study with a descriptive analysis design using medical record data collected retrospectively and the number of samples in this study was 70 patients. The sample selection of this research was using purposive sampling technique. The results showed tthe highest characteristics of ischemic stroke patients by gender were male (54.29%), based on age group 45-65 years (64.29%), based on diagnoses with comorbidities (64.70%), and the length of treatment the most occurred in 5-10 days (72.55%). The most used drugs single therapy for ischemic stroke are antiplatelet drugs, namely aspirin (28.57%) and the most used combination therapy is piracetam and citicoline (50%). The most frequent drug interactions were aspirin and clopidogrel (48.57%). While the accuracy of drug use includes the right indication (100%), the right drug (94.29%), the right dose (97.14%), and the right frequency (97.14%). This research aims to identify characteristics of patients covid-19 at RS X Samarinda in March - December 2020. This research is descriptive by retrospective methods. Data collection is conducted quantitatively with a sampling technique. Research instruments are 100 data inclusions of patient medical records. The results of this research show that the dominant 51% are male and 49% are female. The most age groups 34% in the early aged (46-55 years old), with further treatments &gt;7 days as much as 65%. Patients who have 31% komorbides and without comorbidity as much as 69% in the category 87.09% diabetes mellitus. The study aims to determine the best yield of chitosan results of Asian shell isolation (<em>Corbicula fluminea</em>) based on variations in Sodium hydroxide concentration and length of deacetylation process, and to find the characteristics of chitosan isolation results based on International Standards. The process of chitosan isolation goes through several stages, namely deproteination using a solution of Sodium hydroxide 3,5% at a temperature of 65°C for 2 hours, demineralization using a solution of Hydrochloric acid 1N at a temperature of 65°C for 2 hours, and the stage of deacetylation that is optimized with variations in Sodium hydroxide concentration of 40%, 50%, and 60% and variations in the length of stirring time of 30, 60, and 90 minutes. The results showed the best chitosan yield of 90,1% obtained from the deacetylation process using a Sodium hydroxide concentration of 60% with a stirring time of 60 minutes. The general objective of this research is to obtain the concentration of ethanol extract of karamunting leaves in a cream formulation that gives excellent physical properties and has antioxidant activity. The result showed extract antioxidant activity was in a very strong category with an IC<sub>50</sub> value of 6,927 ppm. Cream with the best antioxidant activity in this study was F3 (3%) because it had the highest antioxidant activity in a strong category with an IC<sub>50</sub> value of 60.38 ppm and had the best physical properties compared to F0 (negative control), F1 (1%), F2 (2%), and F4 (vitamin E). This study aims to prove that medical nutrition with active ingredients of noni and manalagi apples has effectiveness in reducing blood glucose levels, prove that doses of medical nutrition with active ingredients of noni and manalagi apple are effective for lowering blood glucose levels and prove a decrease in blood glucose levels 30 minutes after treatment. The research method used is quasi-experimental with the measurement of blood glucose levels pre-test and post-test using human test subjects. The research ethics protocol has been obtained with No. 71/KEPK FFUNMUL/EC/EXE/08/2021 from KEPK FF UNMUL. The results showed that the administration of medical nutrition with a dose of 126 g of noni and 200 g of manalagi apple and a dose of 63 g of noni and 100 g of manalagi apple was effective in reducing blood glucose levels, with an average decrease in blood glucose levels of 9,60 ± 7,47 mg/dL and 6,40 ± 3,91 mg/dL. The purpose of this research was to identify determine the concentration of ethanolic extract of oil palm leaves which is effective in inhibiting acne-causing bacteria and to determine the best formulation that can produce a facewash base that fulfill the requirements for stability of the preparation according to SNI. Antibacterial test of oil palm leaf extract was using the pitting method against acne-causing bacteria. The results of the antibacterial test showed that the extract concentration of 75% had antibacterial activity against the growth of acne-causing bacteria. The facewash base was obtained by varying the VCO with concentrations of 17.5%, 20%, and 22.5%. The results of the evaluation of the facewash base formula for 28 days, namely F2 (20%) produced good characteristics and stability, namely a distinctive aroma, cream color, semi-solid form, pH 6,25 – 6,37, viscosity 0,904 -2,700 Pa.s, high foam stability. 89% - 100% and good homogeneity. Treatment management for COVID-19 patients is grouped based on the level of symptoms experienced by the patient. The use of large amounts of drugs (polypharmacy) in COVID-19 patients with moderate and severe symptoms can increase the possibility of drug interactions. This study aims to determine patient characteristics and the potential for drug interactions in COVID-19 patients at Hospital X Samarinda City. The data collection method was conducted retrospectively based on the medical records of COVID-19 patients hospitalized from March to December 2020. Data on potential drug interactions were analyzed using the Drugs.com application. The results showed that of the 30 patients with COVID-19, male-dominated (60%) and aged between 46 and 55 years (50%). This study aims to see how the characteristics of the granules that are formulated in the form of mucoadhesive gastroretentive granules. The preparation method used was wet granulation using a mucoadhesive polymer, namely chitosan-alginate with the addition of HPMC and Sodium CMC. The results showed that the velocity test of the flow rate on the granule formula F1-F8 met the flow rate requirements, the results of the F9 velocity had a poor flow rate, while the results of the angle of repose measurement in the F1, F2 and F4 formulas had good flowability, which was below 30o, different with F3, F5, F6, F7, F8, and F9 which have a 30-40o angle of repose with good flowability. Soy wax and beeswax candles are environmentally friendly materials because they produce fewer pollutants. This study aims to determine the best formula in the manufacture of aromatherapy candle preparations. This research was conducted using an experimental method. Aromatherapy candles are made by melting soy wax, beeswax, and stearic acid. Apply optimization based on the ratio formula of 75%:25% (F1), 50%:50% (F2), 25%:75% (F3) by evaluating physical properties such as organoleptic, melting point test, and burning time test to get the base The best aromatherapy candles from the use of soy wax and beeswax ingredients with the addition of stearic acid. The results of optimization of soy wax based on an organoleptic test, F1 and F2 have an even color and do not crack, F3 has an uneven color and does not crack. The melting point of wax preparations is 48°C-52°C, burning time 373 minutes-463 minutes. On the basis of the organoleptic test beeswax, F1 and F2 had an even color and did not crack, F3 had an even color and cracks. The melting point of the basic wax is 53°C-54°C, and the burning time is 443 minutes-499 minutes. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of knowledge and behavior of the community in the use of antibiotics and the relationship between knowledge and behavior in the use of antibiotic drugs in the people of Tanjung Redeb District, Berau Regency. This research was conducted by distributing questionnaires to 119 respondents using a cross sectional method with purposive sampling of respondents. The results showed that the level of knowledge of the people of Berau Regency was quite good, namely 47.89% and the results of research based on community behavior were well-behaved with a percentage of 42.01%. The content of flavonoid secondary metabolites has potential as an anticoagulant. This study aims to determine the yield of ciplukan leaf extract and fraction, the content of secondary metabolites, and its activity as an anticoagulant. The method used in testing anticoagulant activity is Lee White and blood smear. Ciplukan leaves was extracted by maceration method using 70% ethanol solvent. The test samples for the extract and fraction of ciplukan leaves were made in 3 variations of concentration, that is 0.1%; 0.5%; and 1%. The results of ciplukan leaf extract, n hexane fraction, ethyl acetate and distilled water fraction were 14.284%; 12.9%; 10%; and 19.5%. The results of the phytochemical screening test of 70% ethanol extract contain secondary metabolites of flavonoids, alkaloids, tannins, phenols, saponins, steroids, triterpenoids. n?hexane fraction contains alkaloids, steroids and triterpenoids. The ethyl acetate fraction contains flavonoids, phenols and tannins. While the distilled water fraction contains flavonoids, phenols, tannins and saponins. Based on the test results of the Lee White method, extracts and fractions of ciplukan leaves have anticoagulant activity where blood clots do not occur after 2 hours of observation. In the blood smear method, the blood cells are round and not clustered. The best test sample concentration is at a concentration of 1%. To be able to be developed as a traditional medicinal ingredient, it is necessary to know the content of secondary metabolites contained in berenuk leaf extract. This study aims to determine the secondary metabolites contained in berenuk leaf extract through phytochemical screening, TLC profile in <em>C. cujete</em> L. leaves. Extraction was carried out using methanol by maceration. After fractionation were carried out by using n-hexane and ethyl acetate as solvents. Then, a phytochemical analysis was screened and a TLC bioautography. The purpose of this study was to formulate a peel off gel mask preparation from lemongrass essential oil (<em>Cymbopogon citratus</em>) and to know the results of the physical evaluation of the peel off gel mask. The peel off gel mask was made in three formulas with different concentrations of PVA, namely F1 (10%), F2 (13%), and F3 (16%). Physical evaluation tests include organoleptic tests, homogeneity, viscosity, pH, dispersion, and drying time. The peel off gel mask in the three formulas was obtained in the form of a thick gel, white in color, and had a characteristic lemongrass smell. Acne spot gel with active ingredients of dragon fruit peel extract was evaluated including olganoleptic, homogeneity, pH, dispersibility and viscosity as well as antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus and Propionibacterium acnes. Due to the lack of knowledge and behavior of the community this can lead to cases of antibiotic resistance. The purpose was to determine the level of knowledge and behavior of the community towards the use of antibiotics in Kelurahan Dawi-Dawi, Southeast Sulawesi province. The knowledge and behavior of the community was obtained using a simple descriptive method, cross sectional, with an instrument in the form of a questionnaire that could be distributed to the community to be analyzed regarding the level of knowledge and behavior. This research has involved 196 test respondents. The results showed that the profile of the characteristics of the respondents were mostly female, 35-44 years old, last graduated from high school and worked as a housewife. For the overall results of Kelurahan Dawi-Dawi, Southeast Sulawesi province, having sufficient knowledge 42.9% and sufficient behavior 49.0%. The number of drugs consumed by the patient will increase the potential for drug interactions. The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics, treatment patterns and potential drug interactions of patients with chronic kidney failure at Samarinda Medika Citra Hospital. The research method used is a non-experimental (observational) descriptive study with a retrospective approach. Data collection was carried out based on the medical record sheet of Chronic Kidney Failure patients in the inpatient room at Samarinda Medika Citra Hospital and obtained 59 patients. The results of the study of characteristic data based on age with the highest percentage in the elderly as much as 52.54%, based on gender, the highest percentage of sex was in the male sex, namely 50.85% and female as much as 49.15%. The most common comorbidities was anemia 50.84%. The most use of drug class is combination of 4 therapies with Antihypertensive + Supplement, Vitamin, Mineral + Antiulcer + Antiemetic group as much as 79.66%. The most common potential drug interactions found was the interaction of ranitidine with calos as much as 35.59% with minor severity.</p> Angelina Theodora Hanyaq, Adam M.
